Located along Florida's scenic Space Coast, Barefoot Bay is a vibrant community and recreation district. Since its establishment in 1968, the community has continued to grow and expand to offer residents a great place to live, eat, and play.
Originally envisioned as a resort-style escape for seasonal visitors, Barefoot Bay has grown into a thriving community with thousands of residents and a full spectrum of amenities designed for relaxation, recreation, and connection. The community's Recreation District offers golf, community pools, dining, and access to beaches.
As part of ongoing improvements to outdoor gathering spaces, they added an all-steel Hexagon Duo-Top shelter that enhances both function and aesthetics. This striking 40-foot shelter is located near the pool area and provides a covered space for dining and relaxing with views of the water, which is ideal for Florida's sunny climate.
This shelter was designed to complement the warm, coastal character of Barefoot Bay. They chose a Bronze steel frame and Colonial Red metal roof, which coordinates with the colors of nearby buildings.
Considering the warm climate of Florida, it was important to not only provide shade but also improve airflow. The duo-top roof design not only adds architectural interest but also helps with ventilation.
