South Miami, florida

Tucked into a growing community space in South Beach, Vice Mayor Robert C. Welsh Jr. Park is a compact yet functional neighborhood destination with open green space, a playground, sport court, and a Superior shelter.

At the heart of the park is a 12' Square Shelter. They chose a Rubbed Bronze powder coated frame and an Evergreen roof. This color scheme complements the park's surrounding landscape. The shelter provides reliable shade, which is an essential feature under the Florida sun.

Beneath the shelter, a table and trash receptacle create a convenient gathering point for parkgoers. Whether its parents supervising children, families enjoying a picnic, or visitors simply taking a break, the space is designed for ease and comfort.

One of the standout features of the shelter is its location. It's conveniently near the playground and provides a great view of the water. It transforms a simple rest area into a place where visitors can appreciate the natural surroundings. The connection to the environment elevates the overall park experience, blending recreation with relaxation. Projects like this highlight how even modest shelters can have meaningful impact and enhance everyday public spaces.
