Racine, Wisconsin

In Wisconsin, the Racine Zoo is home to 100 different species of animals from around the world. More than 125,000 people visit the zoo each year. To create more outdoor gathering areas, a new picnic pavilion was installed thanks to a generous gift by a local donor.

This picnic area consists of two hyperbolic trellises located by the Great Cat Canyon. This metal trellis has a sophisticated, elegant design that enhances the surrounding features of the zoo. The distinctive design is complemented with a fully functional attached shade for additional sun protection.
